S.M.S.
S.M.S. (“Shit Must Stop”) was a 1968 art “box magazine” conceived in the tradition of Marcel Duchamp’s Boite-en-Valise and akin to its contemporary Aspen. Founded by surrealist painter William Copley, the six artist portfolios contained “original reproductions” mailed directly to subscribers.
